Learn how to cook Italian recipes like a local near the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano in Tuscany on this foodie holiday says Travel Editor David.
Tenuta Melograni in Tuscany is a house for foodies. Owned by two restaurateurs, it not only has a magnificently equipped kitchen, but guests can have cookery lessons from the pros. For €50pp guests will be guided through the preparation of two or three starters, one or two ‘primi’ first courses, a main dish and desert, with wine included. There’s also an option to prepare grilled meats or fish on the outdoor professional barbecue. The lesson is followed by enjoying the meal either poolside or in the loggia dining area. Converted from an ancient 400 year-old kiln, the villa, set on a hilltop just minutes from the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, also has a stunning infinity pool.
Tenuta Melograni costs from £5186 a week in June through tuscanynowandmore.com.
